Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser Cars Review
B has always loved remote control cars. Remote control anything to be honest! So when we were asked to review the Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser car, we were really excited! It’s a remote control car that races up walls and can even drive upside down, on the ceiling!
On Your Marks
The Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser car is easy to use and is easy to set up. Inside the box is a car, a laser gun and a USB charging cable. There may be a bit of power in your car but ultimately you want to charge it up.
Charging the car is easy. Attach the cable to the back of the car and simply plug it into a laptop or computer. Charging takes around 5-10 minutes and then gives you about 45 minutes of play time. The controller needs batteries – 3 AAA.
Once your Air Hogs car is all charged, you’re all ready to get going! You literally just point the LED controller where you want your car to drive to. It works best approximately one foot around the car. There’s no complicated up/down/left and right buttons. Just point and move. It’s super, super simple and B absolutely loves it.
Dare to Drive
This remote control car is one of the easiest we’ve used. It’s super light and the laser controller is really easy to use. If you want your car to race up a wall or window, you change the mode at the back of the car. This activates a kind of hoover-like suction (it’s a little noisy). The car then “sucks” onto whatever surface you place it on – so we’ve tried the walls, the fridge, the ceiling, wardrobes. As long as the surface is flat, you should be fine.
Things to Note
I’ve considered getting a zero gravity car in the past for B, so when we were asked to review one, we were excited about trying one out. Overall B really loves this car and ease of use means it’s one of those toys that causes zero frustration. For some reason I imagined it would drive from the floor, straight up the wall. It doesn’t. There are two modes – one for the floor and one for the walls/ceiling. You need to pick up and place the car on a wall if you want it to drive there. It wouldn’t actually get over a skirting board.
This little remote control car is fast, action-packed fun, and keeps B entertained! Do your kids have their eye on something like this for Christmas? Follow us over on social for more toy reviews and recommendations – Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter!
