7 Super Simple Christmas Appetizers and Party Food Ideas!
This year we’re hosting Christmas. I must be nuts really as I’ll be 34 weeks pregnant. There are a few pros to being pregnant during Christmas though… Hosting means planning menus, meals and food. And I’m actually excited about doing that. To help me, I’ve gathered some of my favourite Christmas canape and starter ideas. I plan to do a really small starter, pre-Christmas dinner. These mini pizza bites are easy to make and ideal for kids and adults. We typically do party food and nibbles on Christmas eve so I will have to give these ones a go. I talk about our Christmas traditions in this post if you want to find out what we get up to.
These little puff pastry, pesto bites are super easy to make and will go down a treat.
These sounds delicious! Can’t wait to eat brie again!
I’ve never tried polenta before. If you’re making these for kids you could use a cracker and regular cheddar.
These ideas for crostinis are yummy and super simple. Try prawn and avocado, mushrooms and mascarpone or good old ham. Perfect for little ones.
Although these use pickled walnuts, you could substitute for anything really. Ham, broccoli, spinach, pepper, leftover turkey. The list is endless!
Do you make party food or tend to buy it pre-made in the supermarket? There are some lovely things down the aisles but they are not cheap. I was browsing M&S the other day and party food started at six quid for a few fancy sausages!
