8 Reasons Why Being Pregnant at Christmas is the Best!

If you’re a regular reader, or my mum, then you’ll know that I’m pregnant with our second baby. I’m due early Feb which means I’ll be in the full throes of third trimester fun this Christmas. I’m not a huge fan of pregnancy. You can read more about how I’ve been getting on in this pregnancy update, as well as one of the main reasons I find pregnancy tough  –emetophobia.

Today though I’m sharing some of the reasons why its fab to be pregnant over Christmas. And this is coming from someone at 30 weeks. I was pregnant with B at Christmas and was just 12 weeks last time. That was less fun with feeling sick and exhausted.

There are a few reasons to be cheerful though so let’s get started.

No Hangovers

It has to be up there at number one really doesn’t it. The perks of no drinking ey. You can start each day fresh eyed and bushy tailed.

No Taxis

Pregnancy also means you’ll be driver. Which means no expense on taxis. Winner.

An Excuse to get out of Anything

With pregnancy comes a free ticket to pretty much give zero f*cks and get out of whatever you want to.

Leave Parties Early

If you do fancy venturing out, you have a great excuse to leave early if you’re just not feeling it.

Comfy Clothes

Pregnancy means you can wear whatever you like. Comfort wins for me right now. PJs into joggers? Sure.

Eat What You Want

Pregnancy is great because it means you really don’t need to worry too much about eating a few extra treats this year. You’re pregnant after all!

Put your Feet Up

Well to some extent but with a five year old that isn’t always possible. If you can though, be sure to cash in your pregnancy tokens for chores, washing up and anything else you can think of!

January Sales Shopping

You have the perfect excuse to go shopping in the sales – bargain baby bits!

  1. I had a Dec 28 baby so I agree with everything you said especially eating extra snacks without the worries lol For me Christmas was such a peaceful break before the months of sleepless nights – it was like a holiday before a big promotion. Great attitude and reminder that there’s positive where it’s easy to see negative.
