3 Really Simple Ways to Bring Spring into Your Home!
Hey there and welcome. I hope you are doing well and getting some sunshine…!
Today I’m sharing a few things that we do at home to essentially bring some “spring” sunshine to the house! Since we moved, I love decorating our hallway, depending on the season. So think Valentine’s hearts, spring bunnies, flowers and autumn pumpkins. I’ll share some of the things we do that literally cost a few pounds, yet really brighten up the place.
When it comes to the home, you really don’t need to spend a fortune on pricey stuff. I typically get a lot of things from car boot sales. Take a look at some of our finds here.
Anyways, let’s get started with our ideas. Be sure to add yours in the comments too, or share with me on social media. We’re usually on Faceache most days.
Keep it Simple Silly!
First up, think about simple decor. Take a trip down to Poundland/world/space/shop/wherever and head to their spring and summer aisle. You’ll find loads of things that you can decorate the home with. Even the supermarkets sell loads of spring and Easter decor ideas – from eggs and bunting, to fluffy chicks and bunnies. Pick up a few items and scatter them around a focal point in the home.
For me, this means the hallway and a console table I have there.
Again, have a look in the pound shops. you can usually pick up a string of lights for a quid. I love these ones. They are bright and colourful, and they really did cost just a pound.
Candles always work well too but if you have pets and little ones around, I find little fairy lights much easier.
Spring is all about the flowers right. Tulips and daffodils cost next to nothing and they always look so pretty. They always make me smile. I love the sunny colours that they bring to a home.
If you’re fed up of buying fresh then consider artificial flowers. My mother in law has some fake tulips and they look and feel like the real thing. She got them on eBay, shipped from China and they really are impressive. I have mine on order now too!
