How to Make a Halloween Themed Play-Doh Sensory Tray
B is loving Halloween themed books at the moment. Even if you wanted to, you can’t really escape the fact that in less than 30 days, Halloween will be done and dusted and Christmas will be upon us. Eek.
If you have a party coming up soon then check out these super simple no-bake eyeball cakes too. Gruesome and yum!
To get us into the Halloween spirit, I’m sharing a super simple sensory play activity you can do with kids. It takes all of five minutes to set up, I promise.
What do you Need for Halloween Play-Doh Fun?
Some Play-Doh. I went for Halloween colours. So think orange, green and purple. We didn’t have any black Pay-Doh but that would have worked nicely. Now you could make your own doh but to be honest I don’t have time right now and we have loads of regular Play-Doh to use up!
Some shapes and cutters. I picked a circle in the hope b might want to make pumpkins.
Plastic bugs and spiders. You can pick these up in the discount stores at the mo and they are great for Halloween play and also for fossil making. Roll out some Play-Doh and make little imprints of the bugs. We made these dinosaur fossils last summer.
And that’s it really! Let them play, let them use their imaginations! B enjoys cutting, rolling and squishing.
We made a few pumpkins too.
And we made Spinderella!
