Go Go Thomas Inflatable Fun!
B has always been a big Thomas the Tank Engine fan from a really young age. B loves Thomas so much we even incorporate it in our fun food! We have loads of Thomas branded stuff and when we were asked to review the Go Go Thomas Radio Controlled Inflatable toy by Bladez Toyz, we were just a little bit excited! I think daddy was more so than b!
To be honest, the concept of an “inflatable” remote control toy sounded a bit odd initially and I just thought, “yeah that’s not gonna last long at all with the cats”!
Having set up our Thomas and seen b play with him, I’m actually really impressed! This toy has a lot of pluses and I’ll give you a little write up of our thoughts.
The inflatable isn’t too big to blow up without a pump. It took Mr D a few minutes to inflate it.
The inflatable design actually makes it really handy for bumping in to things around the house. Unlike other remote controlled vehicles which b crashes in to chairs and table legs. I always worry they will break. Thomas doesn’t though, he’s a big bag of air and this is perfect for imperfect toddler controlling.
Easy to Control!
Thomas comes with a really simple to use controller. Literally move forward and turn around. That’s it and it makes it really easy for b to control, with zero need for mum and dad help.
Thomas also works well on carpets and rugs like the one below.
B is nearly 4 and he’s really enjoyed playing with the Go Go Thomas. The sound effects are cute too and not overly annoying. You can turn them off too if you want.
This radio control inflatable Thomas is manufactured by Bladez Toyz and you can pick it up at Toys r Us. They have a load of other inflatables coming out too and I’m loving Darth Vader and Lightning McQueen! You can check out the full range here!
As with all reviews I like to make sure they are balanced. There aren’t any huge downsides but a few things to note if you buy this toy:
Stock up on batteries!
It is battery hungry. Thomas needs 4 AA batteries and the remote control needs 2 AAs.
Be careful when replacing the battery set in to the inflatable bit. If you put it in the wrong way round, your forward button all of a sudden becomes reverse. Frustrating for a toddler who just doesn’t get why Thomas is zooming around the kitchen backwards!
So there we go, our little write up of this Thomas RC Inflatable! Bladez Toyz have loads of branded RC inflatables coming out so look out for Teletubbies, Olaf, BB8 – you name it, it’s probably an RC inflatable! Or a sandwich…check out Harold and BB8…I know, I know, super silly!
Disclaimer: We were given this toy in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts, opinions and photos are my own! We genuinely really liked our inflatable Thomas!
