Hey and welcome to the blog. I hope you’re good and looking forward to spring! It’s almost on it’s way here in Weston! The sun has been shining and we’ve been making an effort in the garden. We took a little trip out to town as well and found some lovely spring finds in Poundland. Eggs, bunnies, carrots. And I picked up some lambs in Tesco in the week.
It’s completed inspired me to make a spring tree. And here it is!
I’m loving the little lambs! And the little lights are super cute.
Chocolate Free Gift Ideas!
Today on the blog though I share my ideas for chocolate free gift ideas this spring. B always gets so many chocolate eggs and to be honest, we haven’t finished Christmas chocolate! Honestly, we still have it lurking about in the cupboards. I’m not a huge chocolate fan at all and just don’t feel the need to buy more and more. Check out 75 more non-candy Easter gift ideas here too!
But what do you get a toddler when all they really want is chocolate?
Well if you think about it, there are loads of choccie alternatives out there. And you can always add in a few eggs or chocolate coins if you need!
Grow Your Own Kits and Seeds
This year is the year we grow some seeds from scratch. Last year was a bit of a disaster and to be honest, what with the house move, my heart wasn’t fully into it. But 2017 is the year of the seed for me and b!
So if you want to get your toddler growing and nurturing their own tomatoes then why not buy some seeds and plant them!
Spring Garden Games
The weather is getting warmer, the nights longer. Now is the perfect time to get out and about and enjoy the weather. you can pick up a plethora of garden games in the supermarkets and pound shops these days. You really don’t need to spend a fortune or get anything fancy either. If you’re really up for a challenge then check out our Mud Kitchen tutorial here!
I’m loving these bits from Matalan this year.
I’m also loving this cute treasure hunt game for £2. Although you could easily replicate it yourself if you have the time and energy too!
Novelty Egg Cups
B is all about the boiled egg for breakfast at the mo. I’m loving this large sandcastle egg cup at Home Farm Fowls:
A day out
Instead of wasting cash on more chocolate, why not enjoy a day out instead. It doesn’t have to cost the earth and a quick Google search will surely throw up loads of cheap or free options in your area.
We have so many lovely walks in the North Somerset and Bristol area that you really don’t need to spend much at all. We love Victoria Park in Bath and these pram friendly walks in North Somerset are fab with little ones!
I know all children HATE clothes but think about dressing up costumes and anything that your toddler loves. Right now it’s all about Spiderman for b! And these T-Shirts at Primark are perfect for the summer weather I’m crossing my fingers for!
Do you get your little ones chocolate eggs at Easter? I can’t resist a couple of small ones but I know the grandparents will go mad!
