Christmas is over and it is well and truly back to work, school, nursery or the same old – whatever you do all day. Today on the blog, me and b share with you a very simple lunch.

It takes all of five minutes to prep and has maximum impact. Perfect for picky eaters and fussy toddlers. If you are after more simple but fun lunch ideas then take a peek here too.

Today we make zoom zoom racing car sandwiches 🙂 All you need for these is the following:

1 slice of bread
A sandwich filling
4 slices of carrot
4 slices of cucumber
2 grapes, halved

Make up a normal sandwich with whatever filling you fancy. We used ham here.

I made a sarnie using one slice of bread, cutting of the bread and slicing the sandwich into three pieces. Here:

You could chop the crusts off but my boy will eat them so I leave them on 🙂

Turn your sandwiches on their sides like this:

Starting to look like cars…?!

And add the wheels. When I say wheels I mean the carrots, cucumber and grapes. You could use lots of other round shaped fruits and veggies though – peppers, tomatoes, sliced apple.
