Halloween Quotes I Love!
With All Hallows’ Eve fast upon us, I thought I’d share some of my favourite spooky quotes to get us in the mood. Typically me and the hubby don’t do a lot on Halloween at all. We usually close the curtains and keep away from the door. I know, I know, miserable or what. But since B has been with us, I’m just not interested in trick or treaters waking him up. It does seem more so that children only call on the houses with a pumpkin popped outside. We shall see this year!
In terms of Halloween fun, we’ve decorated the house, we’ve made Cauldron Toad in the Hole and Frozen Yogurt Ghosts. And we even spooked up our rocky road treats! What will you be doing this Halloween? Do your kids go trick or treating? Or do you lock up the door for the night at 5pm!?
Here are some spooky quotes to get you in the mood!
“Where there is no imagination there is no horror” – Arthur Conan Doyle
“A boy’s best friend is his mother” – Norman Bates in “Psycho”
“Double, Double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble” – William Shakespeare
“Listen to them – the children of the night. What music they make!” – Bram Stocker. Reading this quote from the novel “Dracula” makes me want to pick up the book again! I love “Dracula” and I love how it is set in Whitby 🙂
“Every day is Halloween, isn’t it? For some of us.” – Tim Burton
“Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before” Edgar Allan Poe
“Winter is coming” – House Stark, Game of Thrones
And it really is, so I best crack on with my Christmas quote planning and get a move on! Liked these quotes? Don’t forget to pin them for later 🙂
