5 Unique Places to Shop for Christmas Gift Ideas!
*updated Sept 2017*
I don’t know about you but I seem to do all my Christmas shopping either online or in a supermarket these days. And when I say online, I mean only one place – Amazon. And when I say “supermarket” I really mean Morrison’s. Not because I particularly love Morrison’s but because it is the closest supermarket to us and we are in there pretty much every day. I’ve set myself a goal this year. The goal being to NOT Christmas shop in any of my regular haunts. Instead, I’ve tasked myself with finding unique gifts, elsewhere online.
Here is a short round up of my favourites so far!
The Spotted Zebra
I love scarves and with winter fast approaching, you can never have too many. I only found out about The Spotted Zebra when I saw them on twitter and fell in love with this fox scarf that I just had to have!
They sell a variety of other scarves but also key rings, bags and fun bits and bobs you don’t usually see in the regular shops. I’m loving these Jaffa cake key rings!
Next up is a business run by some friends of ours – GiftGlass. They basically take used bottles and glassware and turn them into beautiful gifts. These include bowls, candle holders, clocks and even lamps! Im absolutely loving their spirit bottle lights! You can check out their full range here on Facebook or visit them at the Cardiff Christmas Market from Nov 10 to Dec 23.
Elisa’s Closet is another favourite of mine at the moment, purely because everything sold here is completely up my street and inline with how I want to style our new home! Upcycled, vintage and shabby chic. Since we moved in July, we finally have space. Space for furniture and space for bits and bobs. And if you want some very cute bits and bobs this Christmas then check out Elisa’s Closet on Facebook for some fab ideas 🙂
Perhaps I am getting old but I’d never even heard of Hickies before this year. The concept is simple: no-tie shoelaces which basically turn your shoes into slip-ons. You never have to worry about tying shoelaces ever again! These no-tie laces come in adult and kid sizes and loads of colour combinations! They’d make a fun stocking filler 🙂
I’ve heard of Etsy but I’ve never purchased anything there before. I didn’t how much you could actually buy on the site until I read a blog post on bracelets recently! I am absolutely LOVING these cute steampunk bracelets on there from Pieces Of Reesie. They are just adorable and I love the style 🙂
So there you go, five places to check out for something a little bit different this Christmas! Where do you like to shop for gifts? Do you have any recommendations? Share with me in the comments 🙂
Enjoyed this post? Don’t forget to pin the pics and save for later!
Disclaimer: GiftGlass and Elisa’s Closet are businesses run by friends of mine. Hickies sent me some products to try to feature in this round-up. All thoughts and opinions are my own and honest though 🙂
