Halloween at Home Bargains!

halloween ideas party at home bargains spooky stuff to buy reviews purchase decoration home

As a child, my family didn’t really do a lot for Halloween. Mum and dad really hated (and still do) the concept of trick or treating and other than a few spooky bits and fireworks at my birthday party, that was about it when it came to Halloween. Being partial to all things gothic and metal, I absolutely love Halloween. So when Home Bargains asked me to review some of their Halloween range, I jumped at the chance : ) I absolutely love Home Bargains too and whenever my mum comes down, we end up spending a small fortune in there. Oops.

Here are some of the things I’m getting excited about this Halloween and autumn! Firstly, I’m completely in love with my new dresser and the space I have to hang lights, bunting and whatnot. Home Bargains did not provide me with a dresser for the purpose of this review haha. I got this at our local Heart Foundation furniture shop. I plan to paint it cream at some point but I just don’t have the time right now. And I semi don’t trust myself to do a good job:/

Halloween at Home Bargains

First up to be displayed on the dresser are these very cute ghost lights. They are battery operated LED lights and they are perfect for spooking up a dark corner in any room. B loves them and we have to pop them on before and after nursery!

Another thing I am mad about at the mo are signs. I particularly love these Halloween themed signs and have popped loads up around the kitchen – as well as the Free Beer Tomorrow one hehe. Carboot bargain 😉

Candles. You can’t go wrong with a candle or two when the nights start drawing in…well scrap that. Yes, you can go wrong when you have a toddler and four cats.

Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without candy. Ok ok, sweets and all. I’ll stop with the Americanization of everything. Ha did you see what I did…? Anyways. So back to sweets. I wonder how long they will last in this basket with b and mr d around?!

And finally no dresser would be complete without a pumpkin! You can pick up these carving kits for under a quid at Home Bargains and they make the whole process a whole lot easier! Carved pumpkin coming soon haha 😉

  2. You know what I really wish I got a bit more involved when it came to the other seasonal celebrations, not just Christmas. I really love those little ghosts – that pumpkin carving kit sounds like it could make life easier too. The most I do is buy a couple of pumpkins, crave them and stick a candle in them. I do partake in the sweeetie side of it of course through hehe! Great post getting me in the hallowe\’en mood #KCACOLS
