What Mummy Really Wants for Christmas!
Some peace and bloody quiet! What I really really want this year, and I know the hubby would agree, is time. The gift of flipping time! I remember when b came along in 2013 and the thing that hit me the hardest for a while was SLEEP. Or lack of bloody sleep – I touch on this more here. I guess I never appreciated how much I liked sleep and how much I’d miss it. When my birthday approached that October, mr d asked me what I wanted. “The gift of time” I replied. And to this day, I still very much stand by that gift of time for birthdays and Christmases. I don’t typically “need” anything so I’ll take time. Time to sleep, to read, to write, to just sit and be. That would be lush.
TIME TIME TIME!
In reality, I know mr d will want to pick up a few things for my stocking, so here goes. Here are the things I have my eye on this Christmas 😉 What’s on your wish list?!
A new handbag – I like this one in Clarks. Now that we are past the changing bag days, I feel like I can finally treat myself to a new handbag! One that I like because I like it – not because it can get a bottle, wet wipes and nappies in. Although this one is big enough to still get wet wipes and a spare pair of paw patrol pants hehe.
A spa day – This absolutely fits in with my request for time. Mr d often get’s me vouchers for our local spa and I love going along and spending the day just doing my own thing. I typically prefer going on my own so I can read or relax and just do whatever I feel like. Some of my favourite spas in North Somerset include Rookery Manor and Cadbury House Spa. Absolutely lush and can’t wait for the next spa day.
Perfume – You can never have too many bottles of perfume right?!? I can’t believe I am actually out of perfume at the moment and I desperately need to get some. My absolute fave at the mo is the pink peppercorn one by Molton Brown. I’d only ever purchased the shower gels there but popping into the shop and trying everything, I fell in love with this!
Cute socks – Yep, I love cute socks. Anything with flowers and animals. The cuter the better. And I especially love Christmas themed socks.
Candles – I must be the easiest person to buy for really. Socks and candles and I’m happy!
What is on your Christmas wish list this year? Are you a busy parent wishing for time too?! It’s crazy how half an hour to do the food shop in ASDA counts as “me time” now! If you’re wishing for time too this year, don’t forget to pin and share to drop some hints to friends and family 😉
