One of my all-time favourite high street shops is The Works. I like it because it primarily sells things I am interested in – books, crafty bits and stationery. I love the children’s books and I love the selection of craft books on offer. I also like that you can pop in any time and the selection will vary from last time. And I really like the prices. We’ve picked up soooo many kids books for b at The Works and the prices are always really reasonable.
So when I got the opportunity to work with The Works, I was super super excited to do so 🙂 With Christmas just around the corner, here are some of my fave finds for the whole family 🙂
Babies and Toddlers: My Learning Library – Animals. A perfect gift for babies and toddlers and something that will see them through for a while. I remember when b was little and I loved buying these type of book collections to show him. These learning libraries will make fab presents for some of my mum friends who recently had little ones.
Anyone interested in crafting and homemade Christmas bits: DK Homemade Christmas. If you’re interested in homemade gifts for Christmas then this is the book to check out. There are some beautiful projects here and things that I’d actually consider making! I love some of the recipes and will definitely be trying out the homemade flavoured oils!
Stocking fillers for Toddlers and Children: I know b would probably disagree but I LOVE buying him books for Christmas. This particular book caught my attention though because it centres around Somerset, where we live. This range of books covers such a wide area so I’m sure you will find a location close enough to you. Whilst I was in the USA last week, they even had them there!
If you have a Paw Patrol mad toddler at the moment then you can’t go too wrong with this Paw Patrol colouring pad and stickers. This is sure to keep the little man entertained for quite a while!
Other stocking fillers that I love include these glow in the dark stars. For a quid, they are a complete bargain and I know b will enjoy watching these light up. Although fingers crossed they don’t keep him up all night haha!
These cute Christmas Baby Beanies are also ideal for cheap stocking fillers. At £1.50 they won’t break the bank.
I also really love the huge selection of recipe and cooking books at The Works. You can always pick up a bargain and I always get my mum books on Making Jam and anything like that. I have this one on my list this year 😉
Another plus for me is the absolutely huge craft selection. And at bloody good prices too. It seems the trend for homemade gifts and crafting has really picked up over the past few years and you can tell this is reflected in how much shelf space is dedicated to this section now. For some reason I am completely in LOVE with paper at the moment – I particularly like framing cute designs. These Christmas packs will be perfect for making cards and wrapping small gifts 🙂
So there you go, Christmas all wrapped up at The Works. My only advice, shop online! I always find the high street shops so busy and it’s difficult to navigate a pram down the packed aisles :/
Do you have The Works near you? Will you be picking up some Christmas bits there, or are you super organised and sorted this year?!
Disclaimer: The Works provided me with some of the items I mention in this post. My thoughts and opinions are honest and no doubt, I will be back in The Works soon, buying more books and craft supplies 🙂
