I’ve never been super into makeup and skincare stuff. I like it, don’t get me wrong and I like wearing makeup, but I’ve just never been one to be that fussed by it all. And fortunately I haven’t really needed to be. I’ve always had pretty good skin – knocking on a lot of wood now. There are plenty of things I’m not overly happy with body and face wise haha but my skin is usually ok! And I literally have no secrets. I use face wipes (gasp!) and I’ve been using baby moisturiser :/ We had so much given to us in those Emma’s Diary packs that I started just using it myself! The hubby likes it too, and for less than two quid for a moisturiser, it’s pretty damn good haha! Some of my fave beauty must-haves can be found here too 🙂
I’ve also found that since having the little man, any kind of skincare routine I had has been halved, and then some. Painting nails has gone out of the window, as has straightening my hair. I’m rocking the natural look most of the time 😉
So when I was asked to review some skincare products for Baie Botanique I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to put some products to the test. See what all the fuss is about and all.
I tried the products from baie botanique for a couple of weeks now and I’ve really enjoyed using them on my skin. They actually feel luxurious, silky and soft. And they leave my skin feeling silky and soft too! I’ve been trying the Rose Renew face wash, the face serum and face cream. Both are anti-aging…were they trying to tell me something haha. Now serum seems to be the in thing at the moment. Wherever you go, a regular moisturiser doesn’t cut it anymore. You need a serum too. I tried the Baie Botanique Serum and overall I like it. I do find it leaves my face feeling quite tight after applying. Maybe this is the anti-aging bit working it’s magic?! it certainly feels like it’s doing something. I find I can get away with some serums by just using the serum. But with this, you def need a moisturiser too.
After using the moisturiser for a few weeks, I must say, I really like this. It is creamy but it feels light on the skin and absorbs well.
Now to note, the products really smell of rose. I really like the scent but it is pretty strong. If you aren’t a rose fan then it might not be for you.
One of the main things I love is that it is vegan. To be clear I am not vegan. But over the past few months I’ve been trying hard to research companies and their policies on animal testing. I’ve been trying to make small changes in terms of the products I use. I’ve found that it’s really fricking hard to find products that are fully cruelty free. Another brand that I really like is Tropic and I reviewed some of the products I purchased here. It smells divine and is also fully cruelty free 🙂 Win win!
Have you used any Baie Botanique products? What did you think? Do you have a favourite skincare brand?!
Disclaimer: I was sent these products to review. As always, thoughts and opinions are my own and honest 🙂
Oh and don’t forget to pin the pics for later 😉
