Build-a-Snack with Heavenly

build a snack with heavenly tasty organic snacks weaning health

Exciting news, I am brand ambassador for Heavenly Tasty Organics and I am super excited! Super excited because I get to create some fun food with their products. Today I am going to show you how you can make a quick snack using some regular bits and bobs from the fridge, as well as some of their snacks.

So here we have, Heavenly Tasty Wafer Wisps:

Heavenly Tasty Crispy Veggie Waffles:

And Heavenly Tasty Mini Italian Breadsticks. You could use other crackers or regular breadsticks – whatever you have to hand really.

As we moved house recently, I thought we’d “build” a snack 😉 And honestly, it was pretty easy and probably took me five minutes to put together. You don’t need loads of time.

I started by gently cutting the Wafer Wisps. As you can see, they were hard to cut straight and kind of just snapped apart, which was expected as they aren’t really designed to be made into houses!! We went for the Spinach, Apple and Kale flavour. You can smell the apple as soon as you open them up. Little man and I tried the Wafer Wisps and they are pretty much what I expected them to taste like for something with zero sugar and salt! The apple adds a sweetness to the wafer but having had Pom-Bears, little man couldn’t be fooled. We had some friends over for a BBQ at the weekend though and their son is six months and has literally started weaning. He enjoyed chewing on the wafers, and they do kind of just dissolve. Perfect for little ones.

So anyways, back to the build-a-snack, chop or snap your wafers so you have six bits that resemble squares.

Next, I dipped the sides into a pot of hummus and stuck them together.

I then added a roof.

I then used a couple of other bits and bobs from the fridge to make our little “village” – celery and grapes to make houses and chimneys. I stacked the breadsticks celery to make more house-like constructions!

And remember, anything goes here – the celery and breadstick houses are a bit random but b enjoyed them 🙂 I used the Veggie Waffles to create a door on the house and tiles on the celery house. We made little pathways using grapes too.

  3. Its amazing how fast toddlers move on from these kind of snacks isn\’t it. I remember my boy doing the same and being heart broken! Although I never made any houses with his snacks! Well done you for being so creative! #ablogginggoodtime
