3 Super Simple Tricks for Making Fruit Fun!
Hello and happy happy! Today I am going to show you how a bit of simple food presentation can transform a meal or snack for your little one. And it isnβt rocket science and it doesnβt have to take long. I promise!
Below are some before and after snaps of prepping an easy fruit salad. If you struggle to get your little one to try new things, why not try something a bit different. This type of food prep can be done using fruit, veg, savoury and sweet food. Anything you like really! Check out some other fun fruit inspiration here: Watermelon Windmills, Kiwi Cars and Fruity Fish and Chips.
So below I use strawberries, grapes and blueberries. Here are three simple tricks you can use to present fruit and veg in appealing ways for toddlers:
1 –Kebab them. So using colourful, fun food picks, create mini fruit kebabs. B loves these.
2 – Flowers. It isn’t difficult to arrange anything into a flower really. As you can see below, this flower isn’t perfect. But it has maximum impact when presented to a toddler!
3 – Snakes. Again, any fruit or veg can be arranged to make a “snake”. I used an edible black food pen to draw the eyes on the grape snake. You can get them online for a couple of quid. And you can make fun snakes out of veggies too ;0)
These literally took minutes to make π Have fun!
Remember to PIN it and save it for later π
Love it…except it\’s almost too pretty to eat! LOL! Notice that I said \”almost\” because I can devour some fruit and veggies (even when I feel guilty for destroying the gorgeous display). Funny thing, well displayed fruit causes me to eat more because I try to balance (or cover) what I\’ve eaten. LOL! #bigpinklink
thank you for looking π
Fabulous ideas as usual!! We tried fruit kebabs with ours when we were having a bbq, and we said that they were having grown up food, like ours-they went down a storm! I will have to give flowers and snakes a go! Thanks for sharing with #bigpinklink!
