If you’ve been following the blog, you know we love Haven holidays. They are ideal for the little one. We stayed in Devon Cliffs recently and on our way home, stopped off at Pecorama. Pecorama is a train and garden themed tourist attraction near Beer in Devon. They have an inside bit with loads of model railways and an outside bit with beautiful gardens and the Beer Heights Light Railway. They also have an outdoor playground and an indoor soft play. Ideal if the weather isn’t mega.
And the weather wasn’t mega on our last day. We started off doing the indoor model railway exhibition. I can’t say I am the biggest train enthusiast but B loved this. There were so many exhibitions with moving parts and trains whizzing here and there. Lots of fun for little ones. They had a few games as well that cost 20p or so (I cant remember exactly) and you got to drive the trains around. That was fun!
Once we’d been around the exhibition, we wandered out into the gardens and found the outside play area. It was done really nicely with two areas, one including a large wooden pirate ship. For lunch, we had paninis afrom the café onsite and popped to the soft play.
After lunch, we enjoyed the highlight of the day – a ride on the Beer Heights Light Railway. All the trains have names and we went on Linda.
I’d say entry was reasonable for what you got, especially given the indoor aspect if it’s raining. We went with the bargain ticket which allows access to the gardens, model railway bit and play areas. Most importantly it gives you one ride on the railway. For a couple of quid more you can get the premium ticket that gives you two rides round! To note, we were not sponsored to write this post at all. We visited because we were in the area and wanted to pop in 🙂
