Celebrate Star Wars With a BB8 Sandwich!

Happy May the 4th 🙂

To be honest I am not a huge Star Wars fan. Mr D loves it though and is on a quest to introduce B to it. Sigh. To get into the spirit, I thought I’d try making B a BB8 sandwich. Here he is 🙂

To make your very own BB8 sandwich you will need the following:

  • white bread
  • an orange pepper
  • some blueberries
  • an edible food pen (you can get them online for a few quid)

Use a large circle cookie cutter to make the body. Then use a small circle cookie cutter for the head, slicing it in half.

Next use a small cookie cutter to cut circles from your pepper. You might need to use a knife to tidy up the edges. I sliced tiny bits of orange pepper to add detail.

Add the blueberries to the center of your pepper circles, as well as the head area. If you are unsure, a quick Google image search will bring up many BB8 images.

I then finished him off with an edible food pen to draw on the lines.

My boy is just starting to get into Star Wars and knows more characters than I do. He loved this BB8 Sandwich and it wasn’t too difficult to make.
