And we are off! The April A-Z blogging challenge! I am super excited and all guns blazing. I’m sure once I get to E, F, G the novelty may have worn off…espec trying to do this for TWO blogs. Why did I decide to do that??!

Anyways let’s crack on with post ONE of the A to Z Blog challenge! And here goes, A for Apple Pie – the me and b alternative that is 🙂 We are going with RAW apple pie. Inspired by the hubby who dislikes fruit that isn’t in it’s original form. Huh?!

For raw apple pie you need the following:

  • Apples
  • Something creamy – we used ice cream here (because we felt naughty and because we can) but you could use yogurt or crème fraiche. A thick, Greek yogurt would work well I reckon.
  • Homemade granola – of which you can find the recipe for here!
  • A clear serving dish or bowl. I love the layers! And I love using Mr D’s whiskey glasses. You can usually pick up simple ones in the supermarket for a couple of quid. Because I serve food often in this glass, B knows not to launch it anywhere. Pick what you want though, whatever is safest for you and the littles!

OK so for your raw apple pie you want to pop the yogurt or ice cream at the bottom.

Peel and chop your apple and pop that in next.

Then sprinkle over your granola. And there. Done. Super easy, fairly healthy, no faff, no fuss, raw apple pie.

B absolutely LOVED this and ate the lot. I’m not a huge apple fan but even I may be convinced. The granola made it taste so good!
