I don’t know about you but we seem to have so many leftovers all the time. It can be a struggle to come up with ideas for using them up if you don’t meal plan to the nth degree!
One quick lunch or supper idea for busy toddlers is to use leftovers in wraps.
Wrap up your leftovers – literally!
Super easy, super quick and minimal faff is required for this type of lunch, tea or snack. Some of our favourite wrap, leftover ideas include:
- Hummus with veggies such as grated carrot.
- Cheese and ham
- Tuna and sweetcorn
- Hummus and pepper
- Egg and tomato
- Cream cheese and veggies
If you find yourself throwing away half a pot of hummus then pick up the mini ones. I find these really handy to have in, espec if you are pressed for time. They are great to pop into lunch boxes, picnics and on-the-go lunches. And they are great for snacking. I like them because I found we’d never get through a large pot of hummus. Mr d doesn’t like it so it’s just me and b.
And then to add a selection of veggies and whatever else you like. Here we have cherry toms, ham, cucumber, grated carrot and some cheese. I left one of the slices for b to “cookie cutter” himself.
