I lost all sense of what this blog was supposed to be about when I tried crafting really intricate things out of fruit this morning. I wanted to try out some “strawberry” roses I had seen over on the “Eats Amazing” Facebook page. The video is truly fantastic – you should check it out here. Anyway, safe to say my roses looked pants and I remember why I need to try and keep things simple (although I must say, I will have another go!)
Instead, we made some cute pictures with our fruit this morning – flowers, hearts, that kind of thing. Below are some ideas for you to try out.
Slice your strawberries and pop them around a single blueberry. These make cute flowers in literally a minute. I use pretzel sticks here for the stalks but anything like celery or cucumber sticks would work.
Another way to make flowers is to use a flower shaped cookie cutter. Quick and easy!
Arranging fruit into hearts looks really cute 🙂 B loved this one:
There are a few really quick ideas for presenting fruit this Valentines! Do you do anything special or is it just another day? We don’t usually do a lot to be honest. Although I have a little gift list for Mr D this year and I might try these super cute Bee Mine Valentine’s Cookies!
If you enjoyed this post, don’t forget to pin it for later 🙂 And share it with your friends! You know you want to…!
