Ice cube trays work really well for freezing things like – erm, water and yogurt. What they do not work well for is jelly. At least that is what I found out recently. I thought out would pop little jelly hearts. But no, instead out plopped a sloppy, jelly mess. Maybe it was my jelly, maybe it wasn’t the right jelly consistency? I don’t know. I tried it in some proper jelly moulds and they didn’t work either :/ You cant even see the jelly in the heart tray but after two days “setting” in the fridge, I gave up.
What does work really well though is yogurt. Here we have some fig yogurt hearts which came out pretty well.
