To be honest I’m not the biggest fan of brussel sprouts. Little b ate them when he was weaning but I think that was more to do with him not realising what they really are :-/ I thought I would give them a go though and create mini burgers. I had plans for making snowmen and various other elaborate Christmas designs but that isn’t what I’m about – it should be faff-free! And to be honest these little burgers were slightly bordering the faff line for me…
- Wash your sprouts and halve them. Pop them in a roasting pan with a bit of olive oil. I roasted them for about ten minutes at 200c.
- Once they were cooked, I let them cool and then simply added the left over cheese which we used to make star cucumber canapés. I don’t like wasting the extra bits so they often get reused like this (or eaten!)
- I added a tiny bit of apple chutney and popped cocktail sticks through the top. Done 🙂
