How to Make Valentines Marmite Love Bites!

I’m loving recipes that are quick and easy to make, yet taste delicious. Today on the blog I share with you our “Marmite Love Bites”.  Are you a Marmite lover or hater?

Trust me if you are a hater, you still might like these! They are yum and so easy to make. Do you trust me?!

All you need to make Marmite Love Bites for Valentine’s day is the following:

– Ready to roll puff pastry
– Marmite
– Grated cheese. I use mozzarella but any would do. Parmessan works well too.

So to get these loving bites off to a great start, unroll your pastry. If you buy pre-rolled, you literally just need to unroll it.

Next, spread Marmite over the pastry. I squeezed some out, in lines like this. Make sense?

I then used the back of a spoon to smudge it all over the pastry, like this.

It was super sticky!

Next, sprinkle over your cheese of choice. I use mozzarella here.

Next up, use a heart cookie cutter to cut your pastry bites into heart shapes.

Place them on a baking sheet.

Looking good!

Try and cut the hearts out as close to each other as possible to avoid lots of left over pastry. At the end I simply rolled the Marmite, cheesy mess up, sliced it and baked. It still tasted yum!

So back to the hearts, pop them in the oven for around 10-15 minutes at about 180c. Be careful you don’t burn them. The Marmite does make them brown anyway but once the cheese starts to burn, it will do so quickly.

And there we have our yummy love bites! Even my boy loved them!

And there you have them, Marmite love bites. They are so easy to make and they taste great. Why not give them a go when you have a spare five minutes in the kitchen?
